The Macallan TIME : SPACE Sherry Cask 20 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

The Macallan TIME : SPACE Sherry Cask is a 20-year-old single malt Scotch and the third chapter in The Macallan's TIME : SPACE Collection — the first Macallan whisky influenced by sherry casks seasoned with the distillery's own Valdespino sherry, bottled at 44.8% ABV with natural colour.

Released in September 2026, this expression marks the first time Macallan has drawn on sherry casks seasoned with Valdespino sherry since the historic Jerez bodega came under The Macallan's ownership. The whisky matured on The Macallan Estate predominantly in European oak sherry-seasoned casks with a touch of American oak, before a marrying period in a selection of the first 200 casks crafted in The Macallan's own cooperages — seasoned with Valdespino sherry in Jerez de la Frontera and filled in 2024, the distillery's 200th anniversary year. Presented in the collection's signature circular bottle, this limited 700ml release is a centrepiece for any Macallan collection.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sherry-soaked raisins, figs, and Medjool dates over cinder toffee and dark chocolate.
Palate: Rich dried fruit, dark chocolate, and sweet oak with layered sherry depth.
Finish: Long and warming, with wood spice, gentle oak, and a hint of espresso.
