Eagle Rare 25 is an exceptionally aged bourbon that reflects Buffalo Trace Distillery’s ongoing dedication to innovation while respecting time-honored traditions. Aged for 25 years, it is the oldest expression ever released within the Eagle Rare portfolio. With a remarkably smooth and complex flavor profile, Eagle Rare 25 challenges expectations of ultra-aged bourbon and represents the culmination of the World’s Most Award-Winning Distillery’s multi-decade experimental program, backed by more than $20 million in investment.

This historic release is the first bourbon to emerge from Warehouse P, one of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s two experimental warehouses. Designed as a state-of-the-art aging facility, Warehouse P was built to determine whether the aging and maturation process for American whiskey and bourbon could be extended while still producing exceptional results.

Eagle Rare 25 was bottled after reaching its silver anniversary in the barrel. This milestone is represented by a custom sterling silver wing, individually hand-hammered to wrap around each hand-blown crystal decanter. Inside the custom display box, an eagle’s outstretched wings frame the 101-proof bourbon, while an elegant glass eagle rests inside the bottle. The striking presentation perfectly complements the extraordinary nature of this rare and groundbreaking release.

TASTING NOTES

Eagle Rare 25 opens with rich aromas of cherry, oak, dark chocolate, and sweet icing. The palate delivers a balanced combination of vanilla, dark fruit, and butterscotch, followed by an exceptionally long finish with lingering notes of rickhouse wood, baking spices, and black pepper.
