The Tequila Sunrise is the perfect summer drink with its striking colors, fitting name, and sweet flavors. To achieve the sunrise look, you must precisely construct this drink, which is accomplished by not stirring after adding the grenadine, so it doesn't mix with the juice. It was created in the early 1970s by bartenders Billy Rice and Bobby Lozoff at the Trident Bar in California. It began its rise to fame when Mick Jagger tried it at a party and like it so much that the band began ordering them at stops during their tour across the country. While you don't have to be a rockstar to enjoy the drink, there's no harm in playing some Rolling Stones while you drink it!
Ingredients You'll Need
