While the famous Bloody Mary has been nursing hangovers and jump-starting mornings for as long as we can remember, the Bloody Maria adds a Mexican-style spin to the classic drink. Some people follow the Bloody Mary recipe and simply swap out the vodka for tequila, while others call for an entirely new recipe. Our recipe will sit in the middle of those two options; it will closely resemble the Bloody Mary, but we'll add a few extra ingredients to help give it an extra kick. The minor change of swapping out the vodka with tequila makes a noticeable difference by adding a vegetal earthiness that you can only get with tequila.
